Showcasing Early ComplianceSkills for Health - Workforce Projects Team presented a showcasing event to disseminate key learning and offer practical hands-on advice from the Workforce Projects Team pilot sites that have reached early compliance with the WTD 2009 requirement. Meeting the 48 hour week is challenging for most organisations, but for some, progress has been made quite quickly. With less than two years to go until the maximum working hours for junior medical staff is reduced from 56 to 48 hours per week, it is crucial that trusts who have already met the requirement share their learning with the wider NHS. This one day national conference in London was aimed at operational and general managers. Delegates took home five key tips from each of the interactive sessions. Representation from each of the early compliant sites was present on the day, which allowed delegates to ask the trusts involved and direct questions about their projects. The workshops demonstrated the challenges they have faced in reaching early compliance and their enabling strategies Download the general plenary slides >>> Details of the pilots leading the workshops can be seen below along with the presentations from the event.
