Junior doctor engagement
Junior doctors' working hours can be reduced whilst supporting quality of patient care, clinical training and the work/life balance of staff.
In response to findings from our national EWTD pilot programme we have produced a useful resource pack including posters and postcards which have been specifically designed around junior doctors. These are available for all trusts to display and distribute in junior doctors' mess rooms.
The BMA Junior Doctors' Committee has published new guidance on the individual opt out and on rights and responsibilities around rota gaps. Junior Doctors' Online EWTD Q&A Session
Workforce Projects Team, NHS Employers and the BMA's Junior Doctors Committee hosted an interactive online question & answer session about the European Working Time Directive.
The online session took place on 30 July at 10.30am. Details and excepts from the session will be published in Calling Time 17 and linked to from this section of the Portal shortly. If you would like to participate in future Junior Doctor discussions complete the submission form below and we will send you further details via email when sessions are announced. |
