We have been running a Hospital at Night team since 2004. HAN pathways are in place for speciality areas and Rehabilitation Hospital of 200 beds located 3 miles away.

What is this resource?
The protocol for calling a doctor out of hours at our rehabilitation hospital.

What are the benefits to using our resource?
This protocol means the staff at Christchurch have a clear procedure to follow if a patient becomes very sick out of hours and means that the doctors are not called out inappropriately. This could be adapted for other Trusts with a rehabilitation hospital.
