Workforce Planning Competence Framework

The Workforce Planning Competence Framework provides a suite of essential competences aiming to assist the continued delivery of high standards of care for patients.

The framework uses a mix of 33 ‘generic’ and ‘specialist’ competences developed using extensive consultation with key workforce planning practitioners and stakeholders, and will be extremely useful for anyone involved at any level of workforce planning.

It can also be used in the private, public and voluntary sectors.

This self-assessment tool helps individuals and organisations examine their capability in workforce planning. The tool also enables organisations to determine their state of readiness to plan the workforce effectively.
