New WTD programme lead
Skills for Health - Workforce Projects Team welcomed Tim Lund in January as the new Working Time Directive (WTD) programme lead.
Tim has been leading the Department of Health’s Workforce Availability and European Working Time Directive (EWTD) team. Tim has vast WTD experience that stretches over several years, and was also involved in many other aspects of the Department of Health’s work, including finance and performance and Agenda for Change.
Tim said: “I’m delighted to join the Workforce Projects Team at this important stage of the WTD programme. The team’s track record in helping NHS organisations find solutions to the challenges of WTD is excellent, and there is much to be done to continue the work towards compliance. I am looking forward to this new challenge.”
Sue Dean, director of Workforce Projects Team said: “There are many of our tools and resources to share and assist organisations in achieving compliance. Tim’s expertise in WTD will provide additional depth and dimension to the team’s work. We are very excited to have him on board.”
