Home Working Time Directive 2009 Calling Time Calling Time 15 New Ways of Working in Mental Health

New Ways of Working in Mental Health

The National Institute for Mental Health in England held the Moving On: From New Ways of Working to a Creative, Capable Workforce conference on 24th March at Stamford Bridge, the home of Chelsea Football Club.

The event was chaired by Dr Hugh Griffiths, deputy national clinical director for mental health at the Department of Health, with the conference acting as a fantastic opportunity for delegates to learn about the latest mental health workforce developments and how to plan for the future. There was a real buzz around the new developments planned for integrated health and social care with delegates hopeful that the Health and Social Care Act 2008 would provide momentum to this important process.

Workforce Projects Team ran a stand at the event and were delighted to be part of the event and to meet many people in the mental health field. EWTD and workforce planning literature on the stand was extremely popular as delegates were looking for resources to help them with workforce planning for their teams.
