The Hospital at Night (HaN) programme run by Workforce Projects Team, was recently shortlisted at the glittering 2009 British Medical Journal (BMJ) Group Awards in the category of Excellence in Learning and Education.
HaN is a clinically driven and patient focused change programme which uses both a multiprofessional and multispecialty approach to delivering care at night and out of hours. The programme was recognised as it enhances patient safety and outcomes and supports medical training and service delivery.
Competition in the category was stiff and eventually won by an acute care e-learning project at the Undergraduate Medical School, Glasgow. WPT were honoured to be nominated in this group and proud to be involved in the awards which celebrated best practice in healthcare.
