Home Working Time Directive 2009 Calling Time Editorial - Autumn 2006

Editorial - Autumn 2006

Welcome to the fourth edition of Calling Time. As the three year countdown to the Working Time Directive 2009 begins, we’re here to support you with the tools and resources you’ll need to ensure your organisation is ready.

We’ve been delighted at the feedback Calling Time has received and especially pleased with the number of articles being contributed by individuals in the service; sharing best practice really is at the heart of successful implementation of Working Time Directive and it’s great that Calling Time is recognised as a means by which to share that best practice.

We expanded to sixteen pages in issue three and we’re pleased to have done that again with this issue, as it highlights just how much WTD activity there is going on.

Articles in this issue include the sustainability of mental health WTD compliance; an opinion piece from a chief executive, the first item in our UK wide articles and the latest developments from a number of our WTD pilots.

We will keep you up to date on activities through Calling Time, in updates through other networks you use and on the healthcare workforce portal - where all our resources are gathered for your use. We’d be delighted to receive information and best practice from you that we can share. If you have any ideas please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
