The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch NHS Foundation Trust Clinical Site Team headed by Judy Blake (HaN lead) and Troy Welch (iBleep project manager) were awarded The David Stern Award 2007, for the introduction of iBleep.
The David Stern Award is an annual trust award, presented to an idea implemented within the Trust which has, or will, enhance patient care and which requires changes to existing ways of working. The idea must demonstrate collaboration across boundaries within a multiprofessional/disciplinary team.
iBleep is about improving patient care, safety and experiences, by multidisciplinary team working and a commitment to enhance patient care and the response to unwell patients.
iBleep was launched at night within the medical and rehabilitation directorates which were the busiest areas within the Trust. The implementation was seen as a success by the users and identified benefits to patients care and teamworking.
