Stockport NHS Foundation Trust
Currently, Stockport NHS Foundation Trust provides urological services across Stockport and the High Peak as well as Tameside, Glossop and neighbouring districts on a hub and spoke basis, serving a population of over 600,000. Using the hub and spoke initiative, services will now be extended to Macclesfield.
A hub and spoke initiative to achieve WTD compliance
Day case and outpatient services were remaining at Macclesfield District General Hospital and all inpatient and emergency services were undertaken at Stepping Hill Hospital (Stockport NHS Foundation Trust). In addition a nurse led out reach service were developed to undertake extended roles at Macclesfield Hospital and in the community settings.
