About this portal

The healthcare workforce portal provides one-stop access to healthcare workforce planning information, knowledge, intelligence and practical tools.

Presentation
The page of our new site have benefited from a new design, with layouts of pages presenting the information within sections allowing users to find information within them easily.

Navigation
It's not only the page layouts that have improved. You will notice that your new left hand menu system expands depending on which section you are in. These 'sub menus' remain constant' when you stay within that section, meaning you can always navigate your way to different sections. There is also a constant 'breadcrumb trail' at the top of each page as you navigate your way through the site. This will help users to know where they are within the site and will allow users to get back to previous sections.

Accessibility

Accessing Resources
It is now easier than ever before to find the resources that you need. We have tailored our Resource Library to accomodate all our resources by 'Theme' or by 'Sector'. This means you can view an area that relates to your interests or needs before viewing a relevant resource.

The pages that present your resources have also been re-written to clearly identify how they can help you. Each resource also comes with clearly defined documentation, related work and web links for further information. Visit our Resource Library.

Mailing List
Our popular mailing list has increased in terms of usability. It is now easier than ever before to subscribe to our mailing list. We have also added in the ability to sign up to a number of sub lists. This means that users can sign up for our main mailing list and / or a list specific to their needs. Join our mailing list.

Search Facility
The new search facility allows users to find what they are looking for quickly and easily. It provides you with options on whether to search for 'All Words', 'Any Words' or 'Exact Phrase'. The search facility is weighted to benefit the search of our resource items.

Interactivity
Users are now given the opportunity to feedback to us to a much greater degree. Every resource page on the site has a feedback form available and we invite comments and queries across our main contact us form.
