Because of geographically isolated sites, the Scarborough health community faces particular challenges in achieving 2009 compliance whilst ensuring continued delivery of patient services.

A multiorganisational approach to 2009 compliance across a healthcare community

This cooperative solutions pilot involves the local acute and primary care trusts working together with a wide range of stakeholders to fundamentally review patient flows through the health and social care systems – particularly outside normal working hours - in order to move towards compliance.

The pilot started in February 2006 and closed in December 2007
