Working Time Directive 2009 - A workshop to support workforce planners and service modernisers

What does the Working Time Directive mean for the health sector and how should workforce planning and service modernisation take account of its impact?



Programme

These one day interactive sessions are part of a series of workshops aimed at people involved in NHS workforce and service planning, service modernisation, finance, human resource management. They will enable participants:

  • to focus on the impact and implications of WTD
  • relate WTD to what it will mean for patients, teams and their organisations
  • begin to reflect on the evidence and existing examples of ‘good practice’
  • relate and understand the importance of integrated workforce, service and financial planning.

Speakers

Speakers were drawn from a range of local and national initiatives directly involved in developing workforce solutions to deliver WTD ie, Hospital at Night, Manchester Business School, strategic health authorities large scale change programmes, to facilitate interactive discussion.
