Pilot Projects

As part of the work to develop solutions for WTD 2009, Skills for Health - Workforce Projects Team has commissioned a range of pilots that will explore new ways of working and their impact on the compliance with the directive.

There have been three main groups of pilots looking at cooperative solutions, team working, handover and escalation and 24:7 working. There are also other one-off pilots looking at other important areas of work.

The aim is that the pilots will take in a wide variety of organisations to look at solutions which are transferable across the NHS and that will provide useful learning to as many other trusts and health communities as possible.

On these pages you can browse through all the information on each of the pilots, resources which they have developed and updates on their progress and learning. Alternatively, select the pilot of your interest from the dropdown menu below.
