NHS North West is the Strategic Health Authority (SHA) for the North West of England. Our role is to make sure that all the NHS organisations in the region provide the best possible health care for the people of the North West. The wide variety of services provided by the NHS demands a complex workforce. To meet this demand now and for the future, we have a strategy to ensure there is an affordable and flexible workforce; to achieve a good balanced supply of trained staff; and maintain an appropriate educational infrastructure.
