Working Time Directive deadline fast approaching

With August just around the corner are you looking for a practical approach to reaching compliance? Do you want to hear from others who are already compliant and to learn from their experiences?

Taking Care 24:7
One of the most successful WTD pilot sites, Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, is holding another one day event to discuss how it has achieved European Working Time Directive compliance for its doctors in training over 18 months early. Hear how restructuring a busy district general hospital's elective and emergency patient care contributed to this achievement.

John Coakley, medical director will introduce the event and colleagues will cover topics such as:

  • How can we deliver EWTD and surgical training?
  • Why did we want to separate elective and emergency service delivery?
  • What did we have to change post implementation?
  • How was it for a junior doctor?
Date: Thursday 4th june 2009
Venue: Small Lecture Theatre, Education Centre, Homerton University Hospital
