The aim of the workshop is to help you master the PCTWP&D database and apply it to your PCT workforce planning and development strategy.

The objectives are to:

1. Generate a health needs assessment, performance and staffing profile for your PCT.
2. Benchmark your PCT against trusts in the same Office for National Statistics (ONS) socio-economic band and against other PCT categories.
3. Consider the implications of recent primary healthcare policies.
4. Recommend an appropriate staff number and mix for your primary and community-care workforce.
5. Explore participants’ local workforce planning and development initiatives.
