Developing the role of the PCT in workforce planning

On 5th December, Skills for Health - Workforce Projects Team held the first of three strategic-level workforce planning masterclasses. Aimed at chief executives, directors and other senior leaders the first masterclass concentrated on "Developing the role of the PCT".

57 delegates from 46 organisations attended and the speakers included Julie Dent of the Social Enterprise Coalition and Sandy Bradbrook, chief executive of Heart of Birmingham teaching PCT.

Topics covered by the speakers included, commissioning for quality, managing multiple contracts with a plurality of providers and how to recognise poor performance.
