The Medical Training Initiative (MTI)

The Medical Training Initiative (MTI) allows overseas doctors to undertake up to two years of training and experience in the UK and is already assisting NHS Employers with recruitment and exchange programmes with overseas health services and organisations.

The MTI helps the NHS to increase medical workforce capacity to support patient care and to sustain EWTD implementation, as well as enhancing our international reputation for high quality medical training.

Skills for Health – Workforce Projects Team launched the newly developed Medical Training Initiative (MTI) Guide at the NHS Employers Conference and Exhibition at the ICC Birmingham today.
