Skills for Health continues to share best practice on the implementation of Hospital at Night (HaN) and extended 24:7 services via the resources on this portal. We worked in partnership with clinical leaders from around the world to produce a series of case studies highlighting how they introduced changes to improve patient outcomes and productivity. Contributions included one from a New Zealand service which extended Hospital at Night and illustrates why their health authority sponsored a roll out across their state, along with Australia, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.
Northern Ireland
The Western Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland launched Hospital at Night in the spring of 2009.
Hong Kong and Liverpool
Yan Chai Hospital, the first in Hong Kong to introduce an out of hours team based on the Hospital at Night (HaN) model and their links with the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals.
