Train the Trainer

Following excellent feedback, Skills for Health - Workforce Projects Team (WPT) will be delivering a further two day Train the Trainer courses in 2011.

Train the Trainer aims to increase capability and capacity in workforce planning across the healthcare sector. It enables workforce planners and trainers within healthcare to engage colleagues and increase workforce planning knowledge through delivery of a one day workshop.

Based around a detailed resource pack, the programme provides the information and resources needed to deliver an effective Introduction to Workforce Planning workshop, including presentation slides, suggested formats, guidance and advice on delivery and more. The programme launched in January 2009 with resource packs distributed to all NHS organisations in England (you can also access electronic copies of all the resources below).

The course

Through a variety of interactive learning and practical exercises these courses provide delegates with hands on support and guidance in how to understand and deliver the material, localise content and discuss methods to avoid the potential difficulties involved.

Delegates will be required to attend both days of the programme and be in a position to use the learning from the programme locally to engage colleagues in workforce planning.
