Medical Training Initiative (MTI) - Overseas Recruitment

The Medical Training Initiative (MTI) allows overseas doctors to undertake up to two years of training and experience in the UK and is already assisting NHS Employers with recruitment and exchange programmes with overseas health services and organisations.

The MTI helps the NHS to increase medical workforce capacity to support patient care and to sustain EWTD implementation, as well as enhancing our international reputation for high quality medical training.

A full MTI guide is currently in production and will be available on our portal early November.

In the meantime you can visit the MTI section of our portal >>>

With our financial support Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust has developed an IT solution aimed at improving the quality and structure of handover within the Hospital at Night (HaN) model of care.

Salisbury will be making this IT system software available to twenty NHS trusts in the near future (providing support and training)

Trusts interested in installing the system should contact Debbie Dupont, project manager at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust: debbie.dupont@salisbury.nhs.uk
