Dear Colleague
Worried about training in a 48 hour week?

Skills for Health - Workforce Projects Team, alongside NHS Employers and the BMA's Junior Doctors Committee, will be hosting an interactive online Q&A session for junior doctors about the European Working Time Directive.

The expert panel includes David Grantham, NHS Employers, Debs White, BMA Junior Doctors Committee and Tim Lund, Workforce Projects Team.

Themes that are likely to be covered include:

  • Clarifying the EWTD versus New Deal requirements
  • Solutions developed in your specialty
  • Understanding the reasons for EWTD implementation

The session will take place on 30 July at 10.30am. If you would like to participate please complete the online submission form and we will send your invitation and further details via email.


Junior doctors' information packs

Informative posters and postcards, directing junior doctors to useful resources on the New Deal and EWTD, are available for all trusts to display and distribute in junior doctors' mess rooms.
