Postgraduate certificate cohort five coming soon

train the trainer The one of a kind course designed to give health and social care staff involved in workforce planning the specialised knowledge, skills and expertise to develop their roles returns early next year.

Recruitment for the fifth cohort of the unique Postgraduate Certificate in Strategic Workforce Planning, delivered in partnership between Skills for Health - Workforce Projects Team (WPT) and the Centre for the Study of Policy and Practice in Health and Social Care at Thames Valley University begins soon following huge interest in cohort four.

The course gives workforce planners the opportunity to obtain a recognised and credible qualification to support their constantly changing roles and working environments. The course will take place in Manchester and London.

Case studies wanted

WPT is producing a series of brand new good practice case studies for the healthcare workforce portal to support the resources and is looking to hear from healthcare staff who have used either or both tools in their own organisations.

train the trainer Healthcare staff interested in long term renal conditions can now find out more by logging onto a brand new section of the healthcare workforce portal.

The new section features examples of best practice, sample job descriptions, case studies, plus supporting documentation and links.

WPT is leading the way in providing integrated workforce planning solutions in long term conditions. Supporting, caring for and treating people with long term conditions is expected to become one of the dominant healthcare themes of the 21st Century and WPT have been commissioned by the Department of Health to provide resources, tools and information.

WPT will be exhibiting at the British Renal Society Annual Conference between the 1st and 3rd of June.
