| Maternity Matters with NWP |
Maternity Matters confirms the NHS' national guarantees in maternity services, all of which must be in practice by 2009.
The portal contains a selection of tools, including a workforce planning resource and e-learning CD, commissioned by the Department of Health, to help the healthcare workforce plan for the introduction of the new policy.

| New look for 18 weeks |
A host of 18 week workforce planning resources developed by NWP are available on the portal to help prepare trusts and strategic health authorities (SHAs) get ready for the impact of workforce planning.
This includes a variety of tools, techniques and examples of good practice to help healthcare organisations meet the new targets set by the scheme.

| WTD Exhibition and Hospital at Night Conference |
As the countdown to WTD 2009 continues, two special events are being held to help prepare healthcare staff for the changes.
The Final Countdown Working Time Directive 2009 Exhibition takes place at ExCel London, on 2nd July 2008. Interactivity will be the key for delegates, who'll have the opportunity to speak directly to exhibitors throughout the day.

Following the event on 2nd July 2008, preparations for WTD 2009 continue with the Hospital at Night Conference on 19 September 2008 at QEII, London.
The event will focus on patient safety, leadership while supporting service delivery and its contribution to meeting WTD 2009.
