Healthcare WorkforceTwo regional masterclasses take place in February 2008 as part of the national 18 weeks workforce support programme. Aimed at chief executives, directors and other senior leaders, expert speakers will share innovative ways of working introduced across the country in order to meet the 18 week target.

Assessing Workforce Supply Tool

With a wide range of workforce tools available – some tried and tested, others in development and more developed locally – NWP has identified the need for a workforce supply tool to complement step 4 of the Six Step Guide to Workforce Planning. New commissioners' resources

We are currently in the process of finalising our first two resources aimed specifically at commissioners. January 2008 sees the launch of an e-learning programme for service commissioners and the publication of a hot topic briefing paper about education commissioning. A one day event on 4th December 2007 to raise local awareness of Working Time Directive issues, provide an update on local progress with Working Time Directive and ensure that trusts are equipped with the information, evidence and tools to move forwards.

Our three workforce planning masterclasses are designed for chief executives, directors and other senior leaders. You can choose to attend one, two or all three masterclasses with the first, "Developing the role of the PCT in workforce planning", taking place in London on 5th December 2007.

18 week workshops, Newmarket and London
Only two of our ten workshops have places available, both take place in January 2008. 18 week masterclasses, Manchester and London
With just over a year to achieve the 18 week wait target, we are holding two regional chief executive and director level masterclasses in February 2008 (one in the north and one in the south). These masterclasses will offer an update of how far the NHS has come - with news and innovations from across the country - and a look at what has yet to be achieved, which includes an overview of the tools and resources available to help organisations.
